About Us
The Dove Bookshop is run by St. Christophers Community Trust, a registered charitable trust, which begun selling recycled books 20 years ago as a fundraiser to assist the community outreach programmes of St. Christophers Anglican Church in Avonhead, Christchurch.
For many years, Dove Bookshop operated small bookshops around Christchurch until we moved into a 300 square metre space in Bishopdale Mall in early 2020. The new site has transformed the way we operate and our customers are delighted at the spacious layout of the shop with the hugely increased range of books on offer.
All stock is generously donated and lovingly recycled by our staff; allowing our books to remain affordably priced.
Our sister shop next door, Arty Facts, has a great range of Jigsaws, Cds, DVDs, Games, Puzzles and Bric-a-Brac; another reason to pay us a visit when you’re in the area.
